About The Artist

16-year-old guitar virtuoso, songwriter, and fiddler releases debut album Chasin’ After the Wind. Caire’s bluegrass roots mix with groovy old-time, intricate originals, and a touch of Latin and Swedish music to create a ‘beautiful, soulful, and mature debut’ (Scott Nygaard). Chasin’ After the Wind is available to purchase at daisycaire.com and on all listening platforms.Based in Northern California, Caire has been making splashes in the bluegrass community since she was six years old. Caire sang and picked her first songs with her family as the El Dorado Family Band, and then joined the popular youth bands Rambling Minors and North Country Blue.

Caire says, “Chasin’ After the Wind is a tribute to my journey with music over the last ten years. Collaborating with other musicians and performing made me passionate about music at a young age, and I am grateful for the opportunity to follow this path. I hope you enjoy the music I have created and join me as I go where the music takes me next!” The thirteen tracks on the album represent a wide variety of styles for an artist of any age. Her bluegrass roots are evident from a traditional take on Waylon Jennings’ “You Asked Me To” to the ripping original tune “Remy’s Breakdown” that showcases Caire’s abilities on guitar. She treats us to the solo fiddle and voice in “Wedding Dress”, a Swedish tune “Bridal Waltz”, and a tribute to her time spent in Guatemala with “La Múcura”. Caire’s insightful lyrics on songs such as title track “Chasin’ After the Wind,” “Hello Granny”, and “Away From the Shore” show a maturity well beyond her years.

Caire’s collaborators include Brandon Godman on fiddle, Patrick Sauber on banjo, Rainy Miatke on mandolin, Kathy Barwick on guitar and dobro, and Laurie Lewis on bass and vocals.
